What are the Options to View Tracks?

To find route information within TW2, use the ‘Map’ button in the main menu.

Several controls are available within the map screen which allow you to filter and see more detailed lane information:

Zoom In (+)

Zoom in to see more detail in a smaller area. The base map will change to suit the level of detail you select.

Zoom Out (-)

Zoom out to see more routes, and for route planning. The base map will change to suit the level of detail you select.

Full Screen

Allows the map to fill the whole of your device’s screen, enabling you to have a wider field of view.

Search

Use the first search box to look for a place name or a post code.

If you know a lane's Trailwise Unique ID (TWUID), you can use the second search box.

The third box is used for the Unique Street Reference Number, as found on FindMyStreet or Local Authority maps, for example.

The last two boxes can be used to search for a position rather than a lane, using either the British National Grid or Lat/Long values.

Layers

This menu allows you to hide or display types of routes, and highway authority boundaries as an overlay on the base map:

  • Favourite Lanes: Any lane you have selected as a favourite
  • Unclassified Road: Also known as UCR, ORPA, NCH, UMH or Adopted Highway depending on your local authority
  • Byway: BOATs/Byway Open to All Traffic
  • Highway Authority: The local organisation responsible for highways

Simply tick/untick the type(s) of route you wish to display/hide.
